Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer, trying to get that “Classic Style” look on it. I first heard about this Marstimer thing a while back, maybe earlier this year or something. I’m not a huge watch guy, but I know a good one when I see it, you know?
So, I was browsing around online, doing my usual thing, and I stumbled upon this Marstimer. It’s got this whole European Space Agency (ESA) connection, which is kinda cool, I guess. But what really caught my eye was the look of it. It’s just… different. Not your everyday watch, that’s for sure.
I started digging around, reading about it, watching some videos. Turns out, getting that classic style isn’t as straightforward as just putting it on your wrist. This thing has a bunch of functions. They call it a “highly precise thermo-compensated multi-functional quartz movement,” which, to be honest, sounds like a lot of gibberish to me. But it means it can do a lot of stuff, and apparently, it uses the calibre 5619 with a battery life of 24 months.
Figuring Out the Settings
First off, I had to figure out how to even navigate the thing. There are these pushers on the side, and you gotta press them in different combinations to get to different modes. I felt like I was trying to crack some secret code or something! I spent a good chunk of time just pushing buttons, trying to see what did what.
- Pushing the crown seems to be the main way to switch between the different displays.
- The top right pusher is like a ‘select’ button, I think. You use it to confirm stuff.
- The bottom left pusher seems to go back or cancel things.
- And the bottom right I think it was for activating light.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally started to get the hang of it. I found the setting for the “classic style” display, which basically just shows the regular time, but in a cool, vintage-y way. It’s the little things, you know?
Getting That Classic Look
But just getting the right display wasn’t enough. I wanted to really nail that classic vibe. So, I started playing around with the different color schemes. There are a few to choose from, and I ended up going with this kind of muted, orange-ish one. It just looked right to me, felt more like a classic watch, rather than just like what it is, which is a Marstimer, rather than those old-school watches.
It took some time, and a lot of button-mashing, but I finally got the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer looking exactly how I wanted it. It’s got that classic style I was after, but it’s still a modern watch with all these fancy functions underneath. It’s like the best of both worlds, I guess.
So, yeah, that’s my story about messing around with the CopyOMEGA Ω X-33 Marstimer. It was a bit of a learning curve, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s definitely a conversation starter, and it just feels good to wear something a little different, you know? Plus, I feel like I kinda earned it, after all that time spent figuring it out!
