Okay, so I saw this PRADA Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Mini-Bag on the official flagship store, and I just had to try and remake it. It looked so cool, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

First, I looked for some materials. I couldn’t find Re-Nylon, which is what PRADA uses, but I managed to grab some regular nylon fabric that looked pretty similar. Then, I started to study the bag’s design. It’s got this chain thing going on, so I needed to find a chain that matched the one on the original bag. I hunted around, and finally, I found one that was close enough.

  • Gathered the materials – nylon fabric, chain, and some other bits and pieces.
  • Studied the design – looked at tons of pictures of the bag to get a good sense of the shape and details.
  • Started cutting the fabric – this was tricky because I had to make sure the pieces were the right size and shape.
  • Sewing time – I’m not the best at sewing, but I managed to stitch the pieces together. It took a while, and there were a few mess-ups, but I kept at it.
  • Attached the chain – this was actually easier than I thought. I just had to make sure it was evenly spaced and looked like the original.

After a lot of trial and error, I finally finished my version of the bag. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of it. It kind of looks like the PRADA one, especially if you squint a little. And, you know, it was a fun project to take on.

I saw somewhere online that they have these “Lightweight crochet accessories, elegant silk scarves.” I’m thinking maybe I should try making some of those next. They look pretty neat, and it might be a good way to improve my skills.

The Results

In the end, I think I did okay. I learned a lot about making bags, and it was cool to see something I made from scratch. Plus, now I have a new bag to use, even if it’s not a real PRADA. Maybe someday I’ll be good enough to make something that looks even closer to the real thing, but for now, I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished.

I just wanted to share my experience because it was a fun little adventure, and I thought someone else might get a kick out of it, too. That’s all, it’s not a big deal, just my simple way of doing things, hope it was not too boring.
